Dining Table assistant

Job Purpose

To support hospitality and onboard living services by assisting in meal service and maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining and living areas, ensuring crew comfort and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals to the crew.

• Clean and organize the mess room, galley, and related facilities.

• Wash dishes and kitchen utensils and maintain their cleanliness.

• Support the Cook or Chief Cook in daily tasks as needed.

• Handle and arrange food supplies and beverages in an organized manner.

• Comply with hygiene and public health standards.

• Assist in receiving and safely storing food provisions.

• Dispose of waste in accordance with approved procedures.

• Report any shortages of supplies or observations related to cleanliness or safety.

Qualifications

• Valid certifications in watchkeeping, safety, firefighting, and first aid for working on board vessels (STCW courses).

• Basic knowledge of hygiene and occupational health procedures.

• Ability to work within a team in a marine environment.
